In other news, I will be playing a support slot for a local Durham band named Zeerox - who are having an album launch gig at the Empty Shop in Durham, UK on the 14th of Novemeber 2014
I haven't done any gigs for a while and have been mostly working on recording my album at Red Room Studios, so I've literally not a clue what I'll be playing...
Free or Name Your Price? This is the first time I've ever included an option where a person can donate something if they choose to. I still wanted to make the gig free for people to download, but also seeing as though I'm as penniless as musicians come, I thought I would include the 'name your price' option on the off chance that there are either;
1) some avid supporter's of independent music who happen to quite like what I do...
2) some well off generous people who happen to quite like what I do... ...and so if anyone can spare a few coppers then please do so. Think of it as throwing change into a busker's hat, except in a more digitalised form!
Gluefactory 1 Year anniversary gig review published by Wowbo
Proceedings began with the excellent guitar-wielding & looping atmospherics ofGirl from Winter Jargon and ended with the punk stylings & melodic noise of Zeerox amidst a shower of balloons & 'I'm Mauro' headbands." - WOWBO
Girl From Winter Jargon and Zeerox @ Gluefactory's one year anniversary!
Dearest earth,
Girl from Winter Jargon supports Zeerox @ Gluefactory's one year anniversary, The Fishtank, Durham, Friday 3rd of August 2012
"Horse and I"
"Anyone who's been to Gluefactory over the last 12 months is probably as surprised as us, but it's true - one year on, and The Fishtank still haven't had any better offers for the first Friday of a month. We shall be celebrating the occasion with one of our favourite acts & some bunch of chancers we can't get rid of..." say Rocking Horse Rehearsal Rooms
Zeerox are, in their own words: "kind of pavement/sonic youth/joy division..ish but not really."
